The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) Green Channel is the ultimate fast-track for market approval of innovative medical devices in China. Its purpose is to encourage domestic and international innovation by fast-tracking the registration process for high-quality, cutting-edge medical devices that have significant clinical value.

For the first six months of 2025, the NMPA has been actively approving devices that promise significant clinical value and a clear technological advantage. Our analysis reveals that a total of 39 devices received Green Channel approval, demonstrating a continued commitment by China’s regulatory body to prioritize groundbreaking medical technology. Among the 39 medical devices that passed approval, 31 were products from domestic Chinese manufacturers, while 8 were products from overseas companies.

We’ve compiled a list of the Chinese companies that have secured this approval. The data shows a diverse range of innovations, from cutting-edge diagnostics to life-sustaining Class III implants and surgical robot. Three major directions in Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Intervention and Biomaterials and Precision Diagnostics that lead the wave of innovation was observed.
